Tannery Tour Held for Beijing Fashion Institute Students
On November 1st, a tannery tour was held in ISA TanTec’s Heshan, China location for a group of 43 students from the Beijing Fashion Institute. The tour was hosted by Carl Flach, ISA TanTec Senior Director Operational Strategies. “The visit is to enable students to understand the performance of leather materials and the development of the modern manufacturing technology.” said Madam Lee, the Beijing Fashion Institute Deputy Director of Product Design. “We hope to go to an excellent tannery site visit to hear about the future development of leather materials trends.” Upon arrival, the students were given an introduction to the company including its history, LITE (Low Impact To Environment) concept and eco-friendly manufacturing process. “The water released by the tannery actually became cleaner than it was when it came in.” said Carl Flach. “ISA is dedicated to environmental conservation.” The participants were given a comprehensive tour of the facility by Fanny Lan (H&S Manager), Joseph He (Production Manager), Wally Wang (QA Manager), and Javan Feng (Sales Representative). ISA continues to show its commitment to supporting the educational system and the community.
